Child Safety Standards (CSAE)

Effective date: April 27, 2026

Voices of Humanity (VoH), an InterMix project, is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform. This page describes our standards, prevention measures, reporting mechanisms, and response procedures, in compliance with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and applicable laws.

These standards supplement and form part of our Terms of Use & Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.

1) Definitions

  • CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation): Any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a minor. This includes, without limitation, grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion of a child, trafficking of a child for sex, or otherwise sexually exploiting a child.
  • CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material): Any visual depiction — including photos, videos, drawings, and computer-generated imagery — involving a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
  • Minor: Any person under the age of 18, or as otherwise defined by applicable local law.

We adhere to definitions and best practices set by international bodies including INTERPOL, UNICEF, and the Tech Coalition.

2) Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on VoH:

  • Posting, sharing, soliciting, or distributing CSAM in any form, including real, simulated, animated, or AI-generated material.
  • Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to engage minors in sexual communication or activity.
  • Sextortion or any threat or coercion involving sexual content of a minor.
  • Promoting, normalizing, or glorifying the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.
  • Sharing contact information, locations, or other identifying details that could facilitate the sexual exploitation of a minor.
  • Linking to external sites or services hosting CSAE/CSAM content.

Any violation will result in immediate content removal and account termination, in addition to reporting to the appropriate authorities.

3) Eligibility and Age Requirements

VoH is intended for users 13 years of age or older, as stated in our Terms of Use. Users found to be misrepresenting their age, or accounts found to be operated by minors below the eligibility threshold, will be removed.

4) Prevention Measures

We take the following measures to prevent CSAE on the platform:

  • Automated filtering: VoH uses automated tools and keyword filters to detect and prevent objectionable content, including CSAE, before or after posting.
  • Community guidelines: Our Terms of Use explicitly prohibit sexual content involving minors and sexual exploitation.
  • Moderation queue: Reported content is hidden from the reporter and routed to human moderators for review.
  • User blocking: Users can block other users from a post menu or the user's profile, preventing further interaction.

5) In-App Reporting Mechanism

Every post on VoH includes a "Report" option, available without leaving the app. Users can also block other users directly from a post menu or profile.

To report CSAE/CSAM specifically, you may also email us directly at questions@intermix.org with the URL or content ID, the username involved, and a brief description. Reports of suspected CSAE/CSAM are treated as the highest priority.

6) Response to Confirmed CSAM

When VoH obtains actual knowledge of CSAM on the platform:

  1. The content is removed immediately.
  2. The responsible account is suspended and terminated.
  3. The content and account information are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline (https://report.cybertip.org), and to relevant regional authorities — including, for content originating in or affecting France, Pharos (https://www.internet-signalement.gouv.fr).
  4. Where required by law, we preserve the relevant data and cooperate with law enforcement investigations.

We aim to take action on confirmed CSAE/CSAM reports as quickly as possible, and within our standard 24-hour review window for objectionable content.

7) Compliance with Child Safety Laws

VoH self-certifies compliance with applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • United States federal law requiring reporting of apparent CSAM to NCMEC (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
  • The EU Regulation on a temporary derogation from the e-Privacy Directive for the purpose of combating online child sexual abuse, and applicable French law including reporting obligations to Pharos.
  • The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, in particular Article 34.

8) Child Safety Point of Contact

VoH has designated a point of contact to receive notifications from Google Play, NCMEC, or other authorities regarding potential CSAE content found on the platform. This contact is empowered to discuss our enforcement and review procedures and to take action.
