Terms of Use & Community Guidelines

Welcome to Voices of Humanity (VoH), an InterMix project. By creating an account or using the app/website, you agree to these Terms of Use & Community Guidelines and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1) No-Tolerance Policy

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. “Objectionable content” includes, without limitation:

Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats
Sexual content involving minors or sexual exploitation
Gratuitous or sexualized violence; incitement to violence or self-harm
Illegal activity, doxxing, or solicitation of illegal acts
Impersonation, deceptive practices, or spam
Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights

2) Eligibility

You must be 13 years of age or older to use VoH.

3) User-Generated Content & Licensing

You are responsible for the content you post. By posting, you license your content under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license as described on our site. You also grant InterMix a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, display, adapt, moderate, and remove your content as needed to operate and protect the service.

4) Proactive Filtering

VoH uses automated tools and/or keyword filters to detect and prevent objectionable content. Such content may be blocked, hidden, queued for review, or removed before or after posting.

5) Report & Block

Report: Each post includes a “Report” option. Reported items are hidden for the reporter and added to the moderation queue.
Block user: You can block a user from a post menu or the user’s profile. When blocked, you won’t see that user’s content; they cannot interact with you in-app.

6) Enforcement & 24-Hour Response

We review reports and take action within 24 hours, which may include content removal, temporary suspension, feature restrictions, or ejecting/banning the offending account.

We log report and action timestamps to ensure timely handling.

7) Repeat Offenders

Accounts with repeated or severe violations may be permanently banned.

8) Appeals

If your content or account is restricted, you may appeal by emailing questions@intermix.org with your username, the content ID or link, and your reason for appeal.

9) Copyright / DMCA

If you believe content infringes your rights, email questions@intermix.org with the URL/ID of the content and proof of ownership. We remove infringing content and may suspend repeat infringers.

10) Safety & Common Sense

Do not post sensitive personal information. Consider using a pseudonym. VoH does not guarantee the accuracy or safety of user content.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms or when necessary to protect users or the service.

12) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted in-app and on this page. Your continued use of VoH after changes constitutes acceptance.
