 ìIt is time that we began talking about how nonviolence can be applied to the changes needed in the world, and at the same time exploring how we can begin to take steps in that direction.î 

My personal way to phrase it is something like this:

ìIt is time that we take steps to apply nonviolence to the changes needed in the world.î
