re: Send a message to Obama.

Dear Sandy,

I like your message a lot.  A "man of honor and intelligence".  Yes, I think so too, or at least I am willing to allow the possibility until proved otherwise.  But are we really awake, we the citizens of America?  No President can get all that far ahead of the people.

We see that Obama is already moving to get a reduction in U.S. and Russian nuclear weapons to about 1000 each.  Can we get all the way to zero?  Yes of course! but only with a huge wave of support here in America and around the world.  I fear that people will sit back and let Obama do it for us, which he cannot, leaving us still on track for nuclear destruction.  Do we have to lose a city or two or three before we realize what we have to do?

Dear Mr.President,

We are deliriously happy that a man of honor and intelligence is now the leader of our country.  We are thrilled that our country, asleep for the last eight years, has awakened to the absolute necesity of choosing the right candidate - a charismatic leader who knows that we must work NOW to save our planet, not later - a leader who will finally do something about our most important issues - Global warming, nuclear disarmament, new forms of energy....Thank you America, and thank you Obama.   You have taken us out of the well of cynicissim where we slept fitfully in to the light of hopefulness.
