Well, this is a curious notion to bring in Iranian and Israeli bloggers. I like it because it is a good bet that total nuclear disarmament cannot be achieved without resolving the Middle East Conflict. Perhaps, though, we should reach out from Los Angeles to Tehran and Tel Aviv rather than to Iran and Israel. At the city level, there might be just a little more of a shared concern and a little less of a shared enmity.
Here is a good background story: Iran Envoy Calls for Global Nuclear Disarmament.
Doesn't look all that easy to find the right connections. Farhad Moradian is an Iranian Jewish emigre to Israel who writes a blog from Tel Aviv, but last item was in 2008 and the blog is entirely in Farsi.
Here's a thoughtful article from the Good Neighbors Blog Forum: http://gnblog.lefora.com/2009/04/13/hezbollahs-mushroom-cloud/page1/ .
I posted the following comment on the Good Neighbors Blog:
I like where you are going with this blog. I got here looking for bloggers from Tel Aviv and Tehran, hoping to get some involvement in a discussion of nuclear disarmament. I am working to build up a Los Angeles Area Nuclear Disarmament Coalition and as an important part of that effort we are developing some software where we can vote on messages in groups. Our online discussion is barely moving along at this point, to tell the truth, but in theory anyway, there is nothing to stop us from networking a hundred cities from all over and electing a message to represent the world.
Middle East Peace and Nuclear Disarmament would seem to require each other.
