The virtue of sharing.
M?t mi?ng khi dÛi b?ng m?t gÛi khi no (Vietnamese proverb). A little piece of food given when one is starved is worth more than a feast offered when one is full. This denotes the importance of donation offered to help people in difficult situations such as having no shelters, no foods, no clothing, no medicine because of natural disasters or wars.
C?a cho khÙng b?ng c·ch cho (Vietnamese proverb). The way you give is more important than what you give. Of course, material donation would relieve physical needs, but your love and sympathy would relieve spiritual and emotional suffering. Besides, in regular daily life, sharing is important in creating love and peace in human community. Sharing arts, literature, cultures, promotes more understanding among people and therefore creates more love and cooperation.
Teaching the way of catching fish is more valuable than giving fish. People would appreciate more if they receive knowledge. Wisdom sharing would shine the way of living so that people would find happiness within and without.
