Dear Mr. Secretary General,
Since the birth of the UN charter, we have been reminded of the good we can accomplish when we fight injustice of the poor, oppressed, or innocent. But we cannot allow yesterday's accomplishments to overshadow today's pressing needs. Corruption and famine; war and racism; poverty and sickness. If we ignore today's most pressing needs, all the good we've accomplished will be held in vein to our apathy.
Let us honor yesterday's progress today by fueling the solutions that we need for today's injustice, so maybe tomorrow our world will be a slightly better place than yesterday.
