Hi Anne,
Good to hear from you!
We are starting up here in SF, and we are a project of UNA-SF. but our launch will be a global exercise.
We are developing outreach to United Nations Association Northern California Division and national UNA is beginning to look at what we are doing, and we even have a conversation started with WFUNA (World Federation of UNAs).
At this point we are still in beta testing, but we are committed to go global for the launch of Voices of Humanity, which will be to elect two messages to send to UN Women Exec Dir Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka for IWD 2014, one from the participating men and one from the participating women. I am hoping the WFUNA connection will help and that the women's movement here in the USA can be brought in widely with all its global connections.
Because we are starting up here in SF, I expect there will be local aspects to the project, but also that what we do locally here in San Francisco will be transplantable to any other city. If you can bring in your connections in the Denver area for the IWD 2014 exercise. I think the Denver UNA Chapter would be easy to bring in. I could help from here on that. http://www.unadenver.org/
Anyways, it is beginning to look interesting, no?
