We have a new International Women's Day group called "IWD 2014". It is open to join - just click in to go onilne. Select Groups from the menu on the left and then "IWD 2014". Once you are at the group, click the JOIN link.
The IWD2014 group is the Voices of Humanity outreach to youth, women and UN Associations. The strategy is to form teams at as many universities/colleges as possible. Each team will have four items on its agenda:
1) Hold an IWD event on March 8, 2014 - these IWD events will be coordinated via InterMix. At the very least we will post photos from all the global IWD events that we spark.
2) Reach out to other schools to spark similar teams there.
3) Reach out to local United Nations Associations to bring them into the process.
4) Participate via InterMix to send two messages to the Exec Dir of UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka concerning the priorities of the global women's movement. One message will be from the participating women and one from the men. There will also be messages from the Voices of Youth, Experience and Wisdom.
