The YMCA Buchanan in partnership with the United Nations Association of San Francisco (UNA-SF) is hosting an Educational Exhibition to raise awareness of the creation of the United Nations in San Francisco, advocate the vital work of this world organization, and build support for UN-YMCA organizations.
Education is the Engine of Human Development
The Exhibition, through archival images, posters and publications, helps visitors build knowledge about the creation of the United Nations and the challenges facing the international community, including world peace and security, Human Rights, Refugees and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The event also includes:
Arts and Cultural exhibit of West Africa
- Display of local made objects
- UN-related books, maps, journals and posters
- Items representing trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and African cultural values
