Make History with the UNA Gender Crosstalk!
sum

This is going out to the members of the InterMix Crosstalk Group. The Crosstalk Group was originally formed to promote International Women’s Day and it remains associated with the local to global Women’s Movement.

Our first project as a group is to participate in the UNA Gender Crosstalk Discussion. Please take a few minutes now to go to the discussion and add your message. The UNA Gender Crosstalk is launching an historical change in the way things are done on planet Earth by sending two crowd-sourced messages to the Executive Director of UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, one from the participating women and one from the participating men.

To add your message first go to the UNA GC Discussion and then click there on the “Add My Message” button (on the right, towards the top of the page). Please feel free to set your own topic. A gender related topic is very appropriate, but it is OK to write about something else. Possibilities: the global roles of women and men, violence against women, Convention on the Elimination of all Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the possibility of a Fifth World Conference for Women (5WCW), how to bring in the men, peace, sustainability and so forth. You might ask Dr Mlambo-Ngcuka a question, or encourage her. The field is wide open. The maximum is 150 words, and a short message is perfectly OK.

While you are there, please read and rate the messages that have already been written by others. Open the messages by clicking on the title. To rate the messages, hover the cursor over the orange and green smiley faces at the top right of each message.
