There are four of us in the Media Outreach subgroup, Alexis Cohen, Emi Miller, Michael Kwan and myself. Michael is in the midst a big move to DC, so we will be lucky to hear from him at all.
Emi is involved with Charlotte United Religions Initiative and besides being a poet, has PR experience, as does Alexis. The good news is that Alexis has prepared a press release and will be sending it out to a suitable selection of media contacts both here in the U.S. and in India. India would seem a good place to reach out to for the Gender Crosstalk to begin to get a global involvement.
Here is the press release that will go out tomorrow, June 27, 2014: http://www.intermix.org/2014jun26gcpressrelease.pdf.
The not so good news is that Alexis will have to cut back on her involvement because of the press of business, but I am glad to say she will maintain contact. This subgroup would be a good place for that.
I would like to start up a long running discussion about the packaging for the Gender Crosstalk. It is not an easy sell because the benefits are diffuse. I would love to hear ideas.
Since this is a subgroup message, it goes out only to the four of us by email, but we maintain transparency since anyone in the Crosstalk Group can go online, poke around and find these messages.
