Join us to learn about how to participate in global initiatives for women's human rights at the local level!

Venue: African American Arts and Culture Complex, 62 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA 94102.

This conference will discuss the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. There will be opportunities to engage in planning and action to implement these global initiatives locally and connect with regional leaders for women's human rights.

PARKING

There are a limited number of parking spaces at the venue, in addition to street parking. We encourage use of public transportation.

From Civic Center BART Station, participants can take the following buses: 5, 5L, 21. Or consider walking.

CITIES FOR CEDAW NATIONAL CONFERENCE CALL

Join a national conversation on Cities for CEDAW hosted by NGO Committee on the Status of Women, New York. You will receive registration instructions when you sign up for the conference.

GENDER CROSSTALK

During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in Gender Crosstalk, a project of the United Nations Association San Francisco Chapter to collect and send messages from men and women across the globe to the Executive Director of UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka.
