Platform for Action & CEDAW should be common knowledge
sum

Dear UN Women Executive Director Mlambo-Ngcuka,

Let's make UN's Beijing Platform for Action common knowledge. It teaches youth that 1) there have been four world conferences on women with more needed, 2) there is an international agenda for women's empowerment involving 12 objectives from women and poverty to the girl child, and 3) international treaties like CEDAW exist for women. I first learned of it in an MA women's studies course in mid 1990s (and revisited it during JD electives International Human Rights Law and Gender Bias in mid 2000s.) Reading it was the catalyst to my social justice activism instead of practicing state law. I would like all college and high school students to be exposed to it. This would also help implement a universal law. Let's have UN Women touch base with universities and schools around the world in this regard.
