Scientific Study Reveals that Women are Unconsciously Biased against other Women
sum

In a recent study, science faculty from research-intensive universities were asked to rate the exact same application material for a lab manager position. However they randomly assigned either the name of a male or a female. Faculty members regardless of their gender exhibited a bias against female students. They all rated the male as significantly more competent and hirable than the female applicant. They also selected a higher starting salary and offered more career mentoring to the male applicant.
