one size doesn't fit all, one woman sitting a board can make just as much difference as several if she is focused and respected. the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and i'm one woman making a bunch of noise on this subject. i make the noise to advocate for these conversations and resources. i found that misery is the catalyst that will keep women from supporting my efforts and claming my work as their own, so that they can get the attention. the attention i earned by doing the work and not pretending to want to be part of the solution but becoming the change i want to see. i know what i bring and i know how to support because i have a firm foundation which is knowing myself and not falling for any and everything. we should discuss mental health when having this conversation and take into account exposure and icebergs.
