How are we doing?
We need to add the inter-generation crosstalk capability to the gender crosstalk under the more general heading of the “Voices of Humanity”.
We need to allow those who do not identify by age or gender a way to participate as “Simply Human” and bring in the Voice of Humanity as One as an additional result for both gender and generational crosstalks.
The above two changes are being coded. The first round of the Crosstalk will now wait until the May 18, 2015 new moon to make sure the changes can be properly tested. These changes are in direct response to the "binary construction of gender" criticism of the Gender Crosstalk. The intention has been from the beginning that the Gender Crosstalk was part of a campaign for human unity, but these two changes make that goal more clear. So thank you to the Women's Studies professor at CCSF.
For those who say there must be no distinction between women and men, please reconsider in the case of the Gender Crosstalk, where the distinction is captured for women's empowerment. The Gender Crosstalk should be seen as a form of nonviolent social jujitsu, where the strength of the opposition is cleverly used to win the day.
We need to pursue the Brainstorm Our World initiative.
The Brainstorm Our World initiative is going forward with a simple first version to be implemented entirely on facebook. The plan is to create a public group and for a list of global days, such as Earth Day, Environment Day, International Women's Day, International Day of Peace and a number of other such days, to ask for a) questions related to the issues of the day and answers to be posted under the questions. On the Day, the most liked answer to the hottest question will be published in the group and posted as widely as we can manage. As possible we will try to get a response from UNA and the UN itself.
We need an app for cell phone usage.
This is tough. Does anyone have a connection to a University computer class where the professor might have a student or two to work on the app?
We need to stress the importance of the Voices of Humanity Crosstalks as a morale builder for a global citizen’s movement for a human unity that respects diversity.
We need to go viral with the idea of persuading local organizations to distribute at least one of the Voices of Humanity messages each month.
These two requirements go hand in hand. As we reach out to persuade organizations to distribute one message a month, we can offer the morale building aspect of the Voices of Humanity Crosstalks as a prime reason to participate.
We need to implement the global to local slider.
This technological feature is something people are looking for, and hopefully will persuade organizations to take part despite the difficulties of the interface.
