Why we have such great difficulty in coming together as a unified species, and how we can do it (maybe)

I have been working hard on the Humanianity project, and believe I have a fairly good idea as to why, indeed, we have such great difficulty in coming together as a unified species. I think there is a way that we can do it, but it will require our thinking in new ways. Here is where I think this new kind of thinking can be stimulated:

I would really appreciate feedback.  Does anyone think these ideas are sound?  Or are there significant flaws (with examples)?

Note that this is something you can actually do, if it makes sense.
