All over this world, we humans are beginning to realize that even though a tendency to fight, a tendency to struggle for dominance as a part of our being a dominance-hierarchy species, is a part of our basical animal nature, we can rise above that basic animal nature by virtue of our newly emerging kind of ethics (social contract for the benefit of all, rather than obedience to the most powerful).
Our religions have always been our adult efforts to work on becoming good people, but of course have also been subject to our tribalism, another part of our basic animal nature, that has kept us separated into groups based upon our separate historical traditions, that tend to keep us apart and even prone to fight with each other.
But our religions, all over this world, are beginning to come together for this new common cause (a unified species based upon the concept of the social contract for the benefit of all).
A proposed label for this movement within Religion, and within our species in general, is "Humanianity." By having a label for this phenomenon, we can become more aware of it and work more effectively to promote its continuing emergence, that will finally allow us to have a far better life on this planet than we have ever known so far.
Everyone is invited to explore the Humanianity website for additional ideas and even for an opportunity to participate in the creation of a basic ethical philosophy for our species, a basic ethical philosophy that is not handed down from the past but is created by all of us as an ever-ongoing project.
Prayer followed by action based upon that prayer is what will move us ahead.
