Then comes the hard part. How do we implement communication between the communities and keep the interface simple enough to use? 

We have a fairly well thought out plan for bottom up networking, but the design for bottom up hierachies of communities is more elusive, especially when we convert all our profile elements into communities as well, such as political affiliation or faith tradition, as we plan to do.
