Hello to all the Cooperation Circles in the World,
I appreciate all you are trying to do in changing the lives of those who are marginalized because of their faith or race. We all know that if we ensure Peace and Justice in the World, we will all be able to reach our goals at the same time making it better for the next generation to come.
All members who come from different CC's around the World, including myself, we should stand by our words and our ambitions based on what the URI wants to reach and that is to create cultures of Peace and Justice in the World. This year is such a blessing to us because it has given us a chance to move forward with our work no matter where we are. I myself am trying my best to do my job in any way possible through the country where am based. It's not easy to express what you are trying to show out to the World, but still I do my best.
The Interfaith movement can change the lives of people for the better through dialogue with the political leaders, by holding them accountable for what they do in their Countries. When Religious leaders come together they can pressure the leaders to change the way they treat their citizens. That's why when you find that in some African Countries citizens are oppressed by the behaviors of their leaders, the Interfaith movement has to take the center stage to bring Peace and Justice in these Countries.
The high unemployment rate among the youth in these countries has created a situation that is very hard to cope with. Abuse of Human Rights, Religious discrimination and gender violence hinder the realization of Peace and Justice, which is why I suggest that all Religious leaders should come together and use their powers to tackle this kind of problem.
Thank you,
Mwesigye Siryebo.
