In all seriousness, I love the the practice of empathizing with these creatures. As of late, I've found the shape/distributions of neurons of any type in creatures help me understand how/why they operate as they do. 

Just thinking about the nerve cluster in a dogs nose. How much of their experience is derived from this organ.
