Greetings to the URI VoH CC, let me take this chance to air out what I go through as I run my daily interfaith activities. As a young adult I go through a lot of hindrances that affect my activities so they do not go smoothly and effectively. Right now I find a hard time to connect with my fellow CC members and that's the reason as to why I have taken this moment to talk to you through this article.
Before I joined URI I used to be a simple man and I was living in the city, and everything used to move on smoothly ranging from connectivity, engaging myself with like minded people like local leaders, but when I shifted from the city and I resettled in a rural area everything became more difficult. I am doing research here with the local people based on the goals of the URI Interfaith movement, based on Religious coordination, building cultures of Peace and Justice in the local homes and communities and the role played by Religious leaders in promoting Democracy in these rural areas, but I was surprised by my work, because these people had no idea about the Interfaith movement and what I was talking about. I used my knowledge to inform them about the Interfaith movement and after a period of some time they began to pick up on what I was talking about. One thing I realized, these people were so faithful to their Religions and beliefs but my point was about how we can bring different Religions to work together for the good of their communities.
I wish I had enough resources like a camera and a laptop I would have captured these videos and photos because these people were so fascinated by what I was talking about and another thing they told me is that they didn't know that there are people who really cared about their well-being and that's why they decided to be open to me, and that's the reason as to why am hoping for support. I do believe if I have enough resources to use I can reach as far as possible in preaching the goals of the URI interfaith movement. I will be so grateful if my request is put into consideration, thank you very much.
