That all makes sense to me, Mwesigye! And yes the next generation does depend on what we do today. The VoH CC will continue our push to have nuclear disarmament members from 1000 cities by the end of the year.
Something else you mentioned rang a bell. "Weapons of mass destruction ... also destroy mother earth" -- this reminded me of something my father told me. He was high up in NASA and attended closed meetings with military people as part of his job. More than once, he said, the military spoke of using nuclear weapons to "kill earth". One bomb would kill so many square miles of earth. That sort of use of the phrase. I have faith that people are better than that. We are trapped in the nation-state system. The religions of the earth can help us transcend our differences.
And I should add my father told them they were crazy, which got him disinvited to future such meetings! Good for him.
