What's our role as VoH CC members?
As a black man based in a third World Country I believe as a member of VoH CC I can use my position to reach some goals in my country. The knowledge I have gained since I joined VoH and URI has helped me to understand that my life's real purpose is to support and promote Peace and Justice in my Country and that's why I am forwarding this question to all members of VoH CC, it took me time to compose this question because I realized we play an important role in getting things in order. Understanding our role can give us more courage to move forward until we reach our goals.
Thanks to URI, the Interfaith Movement and VoH CC, because of our struggles and efforts we have brought some changes in different countries and communities. I can see some changes in my home country that have really helped some people to respect each other and work together regardless of their religion, cultural differences and ethnicity, but still I expect to see more changes like realizing Peace and justice, promoting and protecting Human Rights and also implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. That will be a great achievement in this country where I am based, that's the reason as to why we should appreciate our work.
The interfaith movement and VoH CC has brought together people of different religions, cultures and tribes. Local leaders have come to understand why they need to promote peace and justice in their communities and villages. Because of the Interfaith movement, different Religions are coming together to what they have in common thus tackling some of the issues that affect the people today, that is to say issues regarding Human Rights, Gender Violence, Gender Equality in Politics and good Education for all. These issues are part of the UN Sustainable development goals that the International community aims to reach by 2030.
I do believe that through our work and struggle for a better World we can turn the World into a better place for everyone including the next generation because we all need each other and through Voices of Humanity we can reach our goals. We can realize peace, respect for Human Rights and Justice for all in our communities and Countries.
