The Voices of Humanity’s nonviolent action component is now up and running, making VoH a platform for community action, as advertised on the home page at //voh.intermix.org. Next up are a number of minor improvements. Then, in September, work will begin on a collective conversation tool to implement unity-and-diversity in a dramatic way. This new component will be called “Conversations – Together and Apart”.
The first together-and-apart conversation will be between the nations, beginning with America and Pakistan. For the first half of the month, participants from the nations will post messages for consideration by others of the same nationality. Top voted “apart” results will be published for each nation at the end of the two weeks. Then until the end of the month, all participants “together” will elect messages to represent the full international community. The conversation will continue in this fashion, month by month, indefinitely.
Once we have worked the bugs out of the process, an Interfaith together-and-apart conversation will be added and a UN Goals conversation between communities to represent the SDGs, Human Rights, Peace and Nuclear Disarmament. Particular conversations, using the same together-and-apart structure could be useful to foster peace, for instance between Israel and Palestine, or India and Pakistan.
Comments most welcome!
