On July 10, 1856, Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla was born at midnight during a lightning storm. The midwife thought the storm was a bad omen and declared that he would be a child of darkness, to which his mother quickly replied, "No. He will be a child of light."
Tesla then went on to be a great scientist with numerous inventions, among them is the Alternating Current (AC); a type of electricity still used today to provide light to homes, industries etc.
