Greetings to all VoH - URI CC members, let me hope everyone out there is doing fine. Back to me, I am doing well though am concerned about how we will reach the SDGs in our lifetime.
As we know, the SDGs are designed to better the lives of the people and as members of the Voices of Humanity Cooperation Circle, I believe our efforts and campaigns can help the UN to achieve these goals before 2030 is here. We all understand the roles of the SDGs in promoting Peace, gender equality, Justice for all, better education for all, ending poverty, good health, ending hunger and the other goals that are part of the 17 SDGs.
The United Nations was needed to design the SDGs because it's the only organization that brings different Nations together regardless of the type of leadership, color, ethnicity or beliefs. Similarly, the interfaith movement brings the religions together across all lines to show our support for the SDGs and for achieving them by 2030.
So as members of the Voices of Humanity URI Cooperation Circle, we have to use our voices and the power given to us by United Religions Initiative to sensitize the general public through the interfaith movement about the roles of the SDGs in making the lives of the people better. Time is running out and it's up to us to do anything we can in a positive way to reach these goals. The UN can not do it alone. There is a lot of work to do in turning this World into a better place for everyone and the next generation to come.
The next generation depends on what we do now to achieve the SDGs by 2030 and turn this World into a better place for everyone. And it all this depends on what we are focusing on today. Only our efforts and campaigns today can make it possible for us to reach and achieve the UN SDGs by 2030.
Thank you.
