Armistice (Veterans) Day November 11, 2019

                             CONCERNING WAR

Beginning with the Battle of Blenheim, 1704

                                        After Belnheim *

Why, ‘twas a very wicked thing’

                      Said little Wilhelmine;

“Nay.. Nay.. My little girl” quoth he,

“It was a famous victory” * Robert Southey 1774-1843

The one hundreth anniversary of the War to end all Wars,

                             After Flanders Fields **

If ye break faith with us who die,

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders Fields. ** John McCrae 1918

In humility and the knowledge of 2000 years of warfare in a civilization governed by only one  half of humanity , we must pause  and  think  and pray  for guidance.

The 21st century must mark two very important things in the history of the humanity of  western civilization.  The first is this  - THE SUFFERING of the female   MUST STOP .  For 2000 years this suffering  has consisted of the sudden and traumatic loss of her male partner, the love of her life, often never to be replaced; the loss of  her beloved  male children, never to be enjoyed in real manhood and the degradation of the productive and life-supporting  earth around her through monstrous artificial instruments of war.

The second thing is the WILL to move on, beginning with   listening  to voices like this, honed after some awareness of the gravity as well as the beginning of  hope,

Let us observe a moment of silence

For those who have laid down their lives

To bring our heritage to this fulfilment.

Where men recognize from whence they came

And who their brothers are upon this earth.

Let us pray for guidance now

In this new world, phoenix risen

From the ashes of the old. ANZAC the Play, Mary A. Mann 1971

From whence they came is the womb of the women who have borne them, nurtured them, taught them lovingkindness and given them  inner strength and whose only natural  lack of equality is in the fact that the female  body  is  smaller than that of the male.

Her mind and her compassion have never sought the domination and the kind of one-upmanship and will to kill  observed  and documented in the deeds of the governing  men who were these war originators.  Deeds of destruction were so very foreign to her and  so very incompletely understood by her, and so totally overwhelming to her because of her physical inability to stop them -  resulting in  the  devastating losses outlined above.  The losses also  include  other natural inhabitants of the magnificent creation we all call OUR planet.

Yet, as the  phoenix rises, so too will human equality in  governance  begin.  With  THE GLOBAL PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY, every human voice that participates will be given its  equal weight. This will ensure that DEMOCRACY. real democracy,  will have its paradigm where nationhood and beliefs of whatever kind  other than  those of nature itself,  are irrelevant.  The  natural stand-aloneness of the naked human conscience exercised  in joy without fear, will equal that of  every other   participant living  in harmony with  the planet .

The Global Harmony  for Humanity  will follow automatically.

                                                                            Mary Anneeta Mann
