Here's the letter I am sending out one by one to URI Multiregion contacts. This post is going to VoH CC members only.

Dear (URI Multiregion contact name),

What makes Voices of Humanity special? Imagine if Facebook could list the top-liked posts from the last 30 days with selection by gender and age? That is what Voices of Humanity does that is different. The collective Voice of Humanity-as-one provides an overall sense of togetherness, and at the same time, Women, Men, Youth, Middle-aged and Seniors also have collective voices, building in gender and age equality.

The highest rated messages will always be kind, intelligent and upbeat, because that is what we all appreciate. One by one, Voices of Humanity participants will realize that humanity is on our side, and that realization will underpin a heartfelt global consciousness -- exactly what is needed if we are to cooperate on environmental and social problems across all national, religious and cultural boundaries.

The United Religions Initiative provides a safe and inclusive space for its members. Take that sense of safety and expand it to include all of humanity. That’s what Voices of Humanity can achieve for us once we get it off the ground. It’s the “network effect” that is holding us back. Nobody wants to participate in a network unless a lot of other folks are already participating.

So what do we do to get started? My suggestion is we use Voices of Humanity to decide on a nonviolent collective action that we can share. We can overcome the network effect by waiting until we have 101 people who agree to participate if another 100 people have also agreed. Once we have the participants lined up, we will each 1) post our own idea, 2) comment on what others have posted and 3) vote for the ideas we like. Then we all implement the same top voted nonviolent action locally. Finally we write up and post our stories about how it went. It should be fun and exciting since it is a bottom up process and we don’t know exactly where it is going to go.

As of June 19th, we have thirteen people on the list. Please add your name by replying to this email or texting me. If you are not already a member of the Voices of Humanity URI Cooperation Circle, you are more than welcome to join here. The sooner we get to 101, the better!

Thank you for taking the time to read this email,
