Thanks for another great article, David. It got me wondering what I could do, so I took a look at the dish-washing soap I use. Hmm.. It says contains biodegradable ingredients! Typical smarmy PR - they think if we see "biodegradable" we will be sure to buy it again. Checking against another less powerful dishwashing soap, I find this second soap says it is totally biodegradable.

I vaguely remember we have been through this before and being relieved when finally all the dishwashing soaps were biodegradable.

So I will go with the less poisonous soap, and why not use less of it? And save water by scraping the dishes before washing.
