After 248 days on hunger strike to protest the unjust detention of her British-Egyptian son Alaa Abdel Fattah, Laila Soueif was hospitalized in London last week.
Her blood glucose has dropped to a dangerously low levels, and doctors have expressed serious concerns about her health. Doctors fear that she is at an immediate risk of sudden death.
Laila, a 69-year-old mother, is risking her life with every day of her hunger strike to expose the brutal injustice Alaa is enduring and she needs your support.
The Egyptian authorities must release Alaa Abdel Fattah now as his detention is arbitrary.
