Even though I don't agree with what Bush does most of the time, I am not sure if he should be impeached. As a distant watcher of US politics and US news I don't know many of the ins and outs. Despite that, I would like to ask the question if he really should be impeached.
Has Bush violated laws in his presidential work? Probably yes, but I don't know any of those - which doesn't mean there are none. I think the basis for impeachment should be a legal one. After all, you, the Americans, have chosen this president. As far as I know without dirty trickery this time. Assuming that the people who participated in the election form a representative part of the people of the United States, it seems that the people opposing Bush are in a minority.
Impeaching a president for his policies is wrong, I think. Unless those policies endanger the country or its people. Impeaching a president for having sex with a temp is also not a reason for impeachment. The president's beliefs are also, again in my view, not reasons for impeachment. I say it again: you, the people of the United States of America, have chosen this guy as your president, in, as far as I can tell, reasonably democratic elections.
Now you're struck with him until the end of his term...
