The write up is great. I'm discussing similar ideas with Conscious Evolutionaries, academics at USC and with the ENCOUNTER LA network of networks. I'm also using similar material from The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt.
The USC Institute for Genetic Medicine Art Gallery organizes discussions and events among Public, Private, Nonprofit, Faith-Based, Academic and Media leaders to encourage first, internal discussions so each sector can speak in agreement and then bringing the groups together to share challenges and solutions for collective return on investment of man power and resources.
We found The Decision Platform, an evidence based choice making tool that provides deep data studies, directly addresses the need you state for "accurate belief statements." We're happy to tell you more if you're interested - it's been developed by a Palo Alto Research Center consultant and his team.

We're developing with ENCOUNTER LA, the idea of having satellite galleries across LA and LA County, linked with the Alley project and Pando Populus ...and all ENCOUNTERLA members and their colleagues to promote collaborative events to inform, engage and empower others to become stewards of self, others and the planet,
We will screen this video and conduct a discussion with ENCOUNTER LA members this Thursday from 2:30 - 4:30 pm at Trade Tech College to discuss the resources to develop 3D virtual reality, mind mapping, LA city and County mapping, the Metro communication and high density housing and the need for a web site to promote the mapping. The goal of the site will be to let all of us become aware of the need to balance two sets of things.
First
Wise people are able to balance their own needs, the needs of others and the needs of people or things beyond the immediate interaction (e.g., institutions, the environment, or people who may be adversely affected later on). We can't see everything in black and white.and remain strongly influenced by our own self-interest.
We must see things from others' points of view, appreciate shades of gray, and then choose or advise a course of action that works out best for everyone in the long run.
Second
We must balance three responses to situations:
adaptation (changing the self to fit the changing environment),
shaping (changing the environment to fit the long range best interest (such as accepting high density, low income housing developments along Metro lines),
selection (choosing to move to a new environment).
Remember the Serenity Prayer: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courae to change the things I can , and wisdom to know the difference."
